Our first field trip of the summer program. For our first trip we went to the Jennings Evironmental Center. Jennings is this beatiful prairie, with beatiful flowers and many trails so you can walk through the prairie and see all the amazing flowers. Prairies are rear to Pennsylavania and this prairie is very very impressive. It's 12 miles north of Buter and about a half an hour from Pittsburgh, you should really check it out. The best time you should go is late July or early August. It's really a beatiful sight to see and i think everyone should be able to see something that beatiful.

I agree -- I think it is a beautiful spot! The prairie is unique to this area, so it is almost startling to see this wide expanse of free space in the forest.
